For Attorneys

Your Clients Are Already Documenting Everything.

When families use CoParentCompass to coordinate, every interaction creates a permanent, timestamped record. As their attorney, you access records directly — no screenshots, no "he said, she said."

Communications

Every message is stored verbatim, timestamped, and non-editable. Delivery records show when conversations were opened and when receipt was explicitly acknowledged.

Financial Records

Expense submissions with receipt attachments, approval/rejection history, and full audit trails of every action.

Schedule Compliance

Custody schedule with swap requests, responses, and acceptance timestamps to prove adherence history.

Digital Forensics

The Activity Ledger

Our proprietary ledger utilizes cryptographic hashing to ensure that once an entry — message, check-in, or expense — is recorded, it cannot be altered.

Solo Mode

Documentation without participation.

Enables clients to maintain an immutable record of events, even if the co-parent refuses to utilize the platform.

Read-Receipts

Legal-grade confirmation of when communications were received and opened.

Questions from the Bar

Is CoParentCompass data admissible in court?
Admissibility is for the court to decide under your jurisdiction's rules of evidence. CoParentCompass creates organized, timestamped records with audit trails, and co-parent messages cannot be edited or deleted once sent. Exports are prepared for court use and carry a verification code so anyone can confirm a file has not changed since it was generated. Consult your local rules on electronic records.
Do I need my client's permission to access their data?
Yes. Your client grants you access from their CoParentCompass account and controls exactly which categories of data you can view. They can revoke access at any time. This consent-based model protects both parties.
Can the opposing party's attorney also have access?
Only if the opposing party independently grants their own attorney access. Your access is scoped to your client's account only. The opposing party's data is accessible through standard discovery processes or court order.
Can records be subpoenaed directly from CoParentCompass?
Yes. CoParentCompass complies with valid subpoenas and court orders. Contact legal@coparentcompass.com for subpoena submission.
What if both parents are my clients (mediation)?
In mediation scenarios, both parents can independently grant you access. You would see both perspectives in your professional dashboard.
